    Your temporary password is your last name plus the last four digits of your social security number. Excluding all spaces and suffixes (II, Jr. etc), and using only lowercase letters. Example:
    Last name: Van Buren III or Van Buren Jr.
    SSN: 000-00-4142
    Temp Password: vanburen4142
  3. On your first login you will be immediately required to choose a new password. Password requirements: Minimum of 8 characters with at least 2 numbers
  4. A valid email address and a phone number are also required. If you do not have an email address on file or a phone number you will be prompted to enter one. Without a valid email address, you cannot access the portal.

  • The Referral Portal will check to see if your dues are current each time you login, if they are not current you will get a reminder. You can check the status of your dues anytime, see the "Dues Paid Thru" data on the current information page (see Current Information below).

  • This is a summary of the current information we have on file for you. You can edit fields with a white background and your email address by clicking change from this dialog: (You cannot change Registration Information) After you make ANY changes you MUST click the SAVE button to make the changes permanent.

If you forget your password, (or just want to change it for any reason) from the Login Page click Forgot Password. From the dialog that opens enter your email address and we will send instructions on how to change or reset your password to the email address we have on file. You can check or update your email address from the Current Information dialog.


If the current re-sign period of open (re-sign is open monthly from the 10th at 12:00AM until the 16th at 11:59PM) you will see a pop-up asking if you want to re-sign now. If you click YES, you will be re-signed, and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address we have on file for you.

If you chose NO, you can always get back to the re-sign screen by clicking Re-sign in the menu bar at the top of the portal.

Effective JUNE 2012

  1. This online referral re-registration can only be used for re-sign, not original sign-in. All original registrations for Local 43 IBEW referral system must be made in person at the Local 43 Referral Office from: 8AM to Noon and 1PM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday (except holidays) using the registration form supplied by the Local 43 Referral Office for that purpose.

  2. Applicants who wish to be considered for "specialty" calls (i.e. welding, instrumentation, etc.) MUST register their specialties with the referral agent. Anyone not so registered shall not be considered for such calls. Proof of qualification for a specialty may be required.

  3. Referral Re-registration (Re-sign)
    • Re-sign shall be required monthly beginning on the 10th and ending on the 16th of each month. Re-signs will ONLY be accepted between the 10th at 12:00 AM and the 16th until 11:59 PM of each month.
    • Re-sign may be accomplished from the Referral Portal, Mail, Fax or In-person. (fax re-signs are not required to be sent from the home local union)

  4. Normal dispatch hours should be 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on regular business days. Applicants for employment are responsible to make themselves available for job assignments during these hours.

  5. It is the Business Manager's responsibility to fill employer man-power requests in a timely fashion. Therefore, in an emergency, calls may be filled outside of normal dispatch hours by whatever means necessary to meet this obligation.

  1. On-line Job Bidding is open every day from 5PM until 9AM the next business day and all day Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.
  2. Jobs available to you are listed in alphabetical order by employer
  3. You can bid on one or multiple jobs. Use the BID drop down to choose your order of preference for the selected job(s)
  4. If you are NOT interested in a specific job leave the BID option as “ No Bid ”
  5. Clicking the “ + ” icon next a BID will give you a detailed view of that specific job (click the “ - ” icon to collapse the detail view)
  6. Clicking the Show Details button will show details for all listed jobs, likewise, clicking Hide Details will hide all job details in a single click
  7. By clicking the “Submit Bids” button you agree to the terms and conditions of the referral process. Click here for a “Referral Overview”

  1. After you have bid for work via the Internet. We will send an email confirmation to the email address you have on file. NOTE: This email confirmation will come from
  2. You may resubmit (submit corrections) until 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) before dispatch. ONLY your very last bid is saved to the system.
  3. If you do not receive an email confirmation about your bid shortly after bidding, to the email address we have on file (listed on your Personal Info page) something did not work correctly. You can try again or use the telephone bidding system at: 315 671-0095 or 1-800-839-9880 and notify the Referral office of your on-line bidding issue.
  4. You should be ready to receive a phone call between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 Noon (Eastern Time) the morning of dispatch.

PayPal is our payment processor but you do not need a PayPal account to make a payment. You can use almost any debit or credit card.

  1. All amounts due are calculated based on your ‘Paid Thru’ date
  2. Dues are paid by quarter
  3. You cannot pay dues more than 12 months in advance
  4. If dues are in arrears, you’re required to bring them current to use the on-line payment system
  5. If your dues are more than 6 months in arrears you cannot make an on-line payment. Click here for Union Office contact information.
  6. An Electronic Convenience Fee is added to the total due, the ECF is approximately 3%. The exact ECF is listed on your invoice.

    • Click PayPal Checkout
    • You’re taken to the PayPal gateway. If you have a PayPal account login here. If you do not have a PayPal account, click ‘Pay with Debit or Credit Card’
    • In the upper right corner of the PayPal dialog is your total. Click the down arrow to see invoice details
    • When ready, click ‘Pay Now’
    • You will be returned to the Referral Portal with a Confirmation Message
    • Click OK
    • An email confirmation of payment will be sent to the email address on file and if you are a PayPal member, you will get a confirmation from PayPal at the email address attached to your PayPal account.
    • On receipt of payment we will send to you via US Mail a copy of your stamped Dues Receipt, please allow a minimum of 5 business days for delivery
